When reporting a snag the first screen that you get is the Snag Report Form

Fill in your name, phone number and, if you have one, your email address.

Enter the date by selecting the month, day and year from the drop down list.

In the Description of Snag field enter the details of the snag.  Be specific and include as many details as possible.

Click on the appropriate button to indicate if, in your opinion, you think the A/C should be grounded.  When all the fields are filled in click on the   button.  If you do not want to send the report or want to make changes click on the button.

Screen shot of the hard-copy Snag ReportOnce you click on the button you will get this page.  It summarizes all the information that you entered in the previous screen.

Click on the

button to send the report to the printer.  Place the report in the A/C Journey Log. The report is automatically emailed to our:

  • AME

  • Director of Maintenance

  • Club President

  • Club Administrator

The club AME will then take the appropriate action to correct the snag.  A notice will be posted on the club's message board if the A/C is grounded or if there are any restrictions imposed on the A/C.  We will attempt to contact anyone who has the A/C booked that same day; however, it is up to the PIC to check the web site for updates.

The AME will then complete the snag report by indicating what action has been taken, whether the snag has been rectified or deferred.  The snag report will remain with the journey log for as long as the snag is outstanding.  If deferred, it will be recorded on a Deferred Snag Report.  This report will kept in the A/C so that the PIC is aware of any deferred snags.
