COPA for Kids

The event on July 21st was a huge success!  Please check this page in the future for news of future events.

COPA for Kids - COPA Flight 84 - Edenvale Aerodrome - Stayner

Saturday July 21st; Rain date Sunday July 22nd. Registration opens June 9th.

Have you ever wanted to know what it’s like to fly? Have you ever dreamt of being a pilot? Now’s your chance to find out! If you are between ages 8 -17 you can come out and go on a flight with one of our volunteer pilots absolutely FREE.

With our Ground School you will learn just how a aeroplane flies and how to be safe around aircraft. You will board one of our private planes with an experienced aviator.  They will demonstrate how to safely taxi, takeoff, manoeuvre and land the airplane, with plenty of time to take in spectacular views while soaring through the blue sky, high above the airport, and maybe even over your own neighbourhood.

Sound exciting? All you have to do is click here and fill in our form, tell us your preferred time slot and we will do the rest.  Unfortunately, we can't promise you will get your preferred time slot.

Bring a parent or guardian and come out to enjoy a morning of flying, activities, hot dogs, watching planes take off and land. Coffee will be available for the parents too.

Ground school begins at 09:00 with the first flight taking place at 9:15. Please check in 15 minutes prior to your selected time so we can verify all forms are completed correctly and the waiver is signed.

While we all love dogs and like to include them in our family adventures, please leave them at home. Dogs are not permitted at the Edenvale Airport.

All participants must have the Registration and Waiver form completed prior to the flight.  Click here for a copy of the form.  While we would prefer that you complete the form ahead of time, hardcopies will be available at the airport on the date of the event.
