First Club meeting of the season

Thursday September 27th, 2007

The first club meeting of our fall schedule will be on Thursday September 27th at 7 p.m. This will be the first of the club's regular meetings to be held at Edenvale Aerodrome.

The meeting will include a presentation on how to get the most out of the GPS that is installed in CMQ. So if you have always wondered how to enter a flight plan, look up the frequency of your destination or how to find the nearest airport then be sure to attend.

As this is the first in our fall/winter series of meetings it is also the perfect opportunity to catch up on club news and renew acquaintances with the other members.

The meeting will be held in the classroom at Edenvale.

This meeting is open to all members and their guests. If you know anyone who has expressed an interest in the club please encourage them to come out. The club offers a social membership to anyone who is interested in joining the club as other than an active pilot. This is perfect for the aviation enthusiast or aircraft owner.

Any member of COPA is also welcome to attend.

Club Christmas Party

Friday December 7th

This year's Christmas dinner party will be on Friday Dec. 7th at Barkley Square Restaurant. The restaurant is located at Hwy #11 (5567 Yonge St) just north of Hwy #89.

This is always a fabulous and well attended event. Not only is it a chance to get together with all the members at a setting other than the club, it provides an opportunity to thank our spouses/partners for their support throughout the year.

As in previous year's you can order your tickets online or by contacting John Galloway.

Don't wait till the last minute. Avoid disappointment and order your tickets now!

CMQ Annual Inspection

due by November 19th

The annual inspection is due on CMQ not later than 19 November, 2007. An exact date when we will commence the inspection has not yet been set but will be sometime in mid November.

The plane is usually down for two to three weeks so plan accordingly.
